Device Control - HW ID to allow specific USB storage device

Hi.

I've enabled Device Control, and now I need to allow some specific USB storage device. As far as I can tell, I need the hardware ID from these devices, but I'm facing some problem.

In Windows' Device Manager I'm able to find the device. I tried using various IDs (hardware id, compatible id, parent id etc. per info found elsewhere on this community), to no avail.

Somewhere else I read that I should use the device ID found in the "Connected devices" tab, but in that place it says "Device Control is disabled" while it's clearly enabled and active (because it's effectively blocking USB storage devices), unless it's referring to something else.

Besides, I received notifications, both in Windows and in the elements agent log, about the blocked device only for the first two times, and then the device is silently deactivated in the device manager (I don't know if this is intended behaviour).
