    Hi,

unfortunately it is now clear that the fix for the unreliable remote actions and profile assignments still does not work. We are very sorry on this and we are working on getting a new fix in place ASAP.

    Hi,

we have finally fixed the unreliable remote actions and profile assignments for Compurter Protection with a new release. This release is already deployed to EMEA and EMEA2 portals and we will handle later today the upgrades to rest of the systems. We are sorry for all the problems this case caused.

Release also includes change that the Add new computer email includes now installer links to Computer Protection in case the Computer Protection is enabled for the companies.

    PSB Team

PS. This release also shows up a new Computer Protection profile editor -> Device Control tab, which isn't yet fully working. We'll have in couple of weeks new client release and updates to this to make it fully functional.

PS.. We have decided to enable the Computer Protection for PSB standard customers on 15th of September. So after that they can also start enjoying it.

    Hi,

a new release with following changes is deployed to all systems in couple of days:

    • First of all you notice the totally changed look as portal is changed to new F-Secure brand. We have been trying to make the color schema such that it would be more clearer to read, but give us feedback if there are still problematic areas.
    • Device control is now fully available with latest Computer Protection version.
    • Computer Protection installer can be downloaded from the public downloads page in addition to PSB Workstation Security 12.
    • And then there is lots of bug fixes and improvements especially in the Computer Protection profile management area based on your feedback. I'm just highlighting few of them here:
      • Software updater exclusions don't disappear after adding them.
      • All firewall settings can be now also unlocked.
      • Sites can be now added to allowed / denied sites lists without notes.
      • Denied sites can be now taken into use.
      •  Added more ?-helps for CP profile editor. There are still lot of helps missing and we will be bringing these in next releases.
      • You can now publish profile for CP, even with special characters in the profile description.
      • Show both current and assigned profile in device details page.
      • Installation doesn't anymore start with expired subscription.
      • Reliability of the profile assignments and remote actions for Computer Protection improved.

We also took a 2 week delay in enabling the Computer Protection for PSB standard customers due to the feedback on Computer Protection. It is now planned to happen on the 27th of September.

    Hi,

PSB Standard customers can now start using the new Computer Protection client. They can as well continue also using the PSB Workstation Security 12.01 version.

So what changed to PSB standard customers now:

    - Downloads page has now both Computer Protection for Windows and also PSB Workstation Security 12.01 available for downloads.

    - Profiles page shows the new Computer Protection -tab.

    - Add new device emails have download link to Computer Protection

Note that none of the profiles you have created in the previous profile editor are not migrated at this point. We are still developing the migration process and it will become available only some time later. Your current profiles are now under the Workstation and Servers -tab and four new F-Secure provided default profiles are under the Computer Protection -tab.

    Hi,

a new release is deployed already to EMEA and EMEA2 portals and it will go to all systems in couple of days. Main focus of the release is fixing issues reported for Computer Protection and then fixing the scope selector to work again with more than 50 companies.

    Most important changes are:

    • Fixed the scope selector to show more than 50 items in case your partner account had more than 50 companies.
    • There were still some rare cases where the Computer Protection upgrade on top of PSB Workstation 12.01 will use up additional license. Now all cases should work so that they will continue with the existing device.
    • PSB Workstation Security subscription has been renamed to Computer Protection to refleft the new product. These subscription continue working normally with the PSB Workstation Security installers.
    • Computer Protection IPv6 firewall rules validation  work now better.
    • Computer Protection firewall rules can now use domain names in addition to just IPs.
    • Changes for Computer Protection profile for Firewall tab were not being detected when deleting a firewall rule. Now you can publish the profile after deleting a rule without extra steps.
    • Freedome for external MDM subscription updates are now properly reflected to Freedome backend and not causing unnecessary expirations of the product.
    • Localization improvements to many languages based on your feedback. E.g. the Unload was incorrectly translated as uninstall in Workstation and Server profile editor.
    • Performance improvements to accounts page with lot of companies.
    • Computer Protection profile editor has now helps (?) for all settings, but most of them are still missing the real help content. These will be added for all of the settings in next releases.

    Hi,

a new release has been deployed to most of the PSB systems (Apac still missing) with following changes:

    • Home page pie charts include timestamp telling when it has been last time calculated. Previously, customers may have resolved an issue but if the alert was still visible on home page they may wonder if it was really fixed.

    • Computer alias name extended from 40 to 100 characters.
    • Date exports now correctly from CSV files to Excel with all locale settings.
    • Computer Protection profiles names can now include special characters like :,/,!.
    • Removed those web content control categories from Computer Protection profile editor that the client doesn't support.

    Happy new year 2018,

For the start of the year we have a big release rolled out. First of all, you notice the lot simplier version numbering format and then you can find this version number in portal from the bottom of left side navigation bar under the F-Secure logo.

     offline-feature.png

Off-line computers visible: If a computer is off-line for two weeks, its virus definition is (obviously) not updated. That was shown as a critical alert. With this change, off-line computers will appear in grey in home dashboard, history reports and they won't show up the old virus defitions task. Software update disable devices are visible on PieChart and this status is removed from critical issues on HomePage.

    dataguard-notifications.png

DataGuard security notifications for Computer Protection Premium: From the device view, the administrator will have visibility on the actions blocked by DataGuard. That is important not only to show the effectiveness of DataGuard protection, but also to allow the administrator to detect false positive and adapt the DataGuard rules.

    Other changes include:

    • Manual scan can now be set to scan only known file type on Computer Protection profile editor.
    • The sender email name is changed from “PSB sender email” to “F-Secure Protection Service for Business”.
    • There used to be "DeepGuard exclusions" -table in the Computer Protection profile editor, while it was supposed to be the "Web Traffic Scanning exclusions" -table. This rename is now done and DeepGuard exclusions are to be handled with the "DeepGuard protection rules" -table.
    • Computer Protection firewall status was shown red status if firewall is disabled in profile. Now it is change to work the same as for Workstation Security, where it shows up green with detailed status "disabled in profile".
    • Fixed problem where user got logged out from the portal in case some API call timed out.
    • Fixed the strange list of the "Action on infection" on Computer Protection profile editor.
    • Fixed problem where creating a new mobile profile doesn't show the profile in listing unless you refresh browser.
    • Fixed problem where all the Server Security 12.10 servers where missing from the home page pie charts. This showed up mostly in case where you did not have any Computer Protection nor Workstation Security installations, as it then showed 0% protection status.
    • Improved search results when searching with strings including & character.

    Hi,

a new release is going to be deployed soon to portals. Main reason for this release is to allow the deployment of previous release to Apac (PSB3) portal as we run into problems when trying to deploy it. Release also includes following changes to all portals:

    • If Computer Protection Firewall is disabled via profile, Firewall status will stays as green. This fix aligns the Computer Protection Firewall status reporting to match the Workstation Security.
    • Better explanations on the usage of the feedback page.

    Hi,

a new release with 2 bigger features is rolled out very soon.

    1. Copy profiles feature allows you to do changes to one profile and then select any other profile where the same changes can be applied in one go. Here is example of how to enable DataGuard feature in all of your profiles:

    publish-changes-to-several-profiles-1.pngpublish-changes-to-several-profiles-2.pngpublish-changes-to-several-profiles-3.png

Note! Currently this feature supports only check boxes and the locks. In the future it will be expanded to other settings based on the needs. So let us know some real examples where you would use this feature with other settings.

    2. Device control shows all connected devices in the device details page Connected devices tab:

    connected-devices.png

You need to enable the Device control -feature in the profile for this list to get populated. Later we will add separate security notifications for the blocked devices.

In addition there are following changes:

    • Certificate for Freedome for Business external MDM registration available for download. This allows you to use Certificate based deployments with external MDM systems.
    • Device details page for Computer Protection shows now assigned profile as link which you can use directly to go to edit that profile.
    • Fixed issue where a device with Computer Protection is sending status but not able to connect otherwise to the system was incorrectly categorized as "offline".
    • Update on 20th of Feb: This release also included the first version of the new Navigation bar on top right corner that will start making it easier to navigate to all other F-Secure services.

    Hi,

unfortunately due to a dependency component the release 314 broke CSV exporting in PSB portal and therefore we are just rolling out a new 315 release that fixes this CSV exporting functionality.

    Sorry for the hassle,

    > Where is changelog for 1.0.3?

What do you mean with this 1.0.3 version. All portals are currently at latest version 1.0.315?

Our version numbering for last number is just a running number from the build system and we don't release all versions to production.

    Dear Sirs,

I wish to report that F-Secure PSB webportal doesn't render line breaks on the explanation text's paragraphs (the mini-FAQ which you can invoke by clicking on the tiny ? signs) For example in the "Computer Protection 18" profile firewall edit section, the text just flows over the right edge of the window into emptiness, as shown in the attached screenshot.

This problem makes it hard to read the whole text, because the browser window doesn't provide any horizonatal scroll bar at the bottom, so the entire paragraph can only be read by blue-selecting some text with the mouse and dragging it, which is a slow and cumbersome process.

Thanks for your kind attention, Sincerely:

    Tamas Feher, Hungary.

    Dear F-Secure PSB Developers,

I was browsing our F-Secure PSB EMEA "SoP" portal account today for new, reportable false virus alarm occurances among about 4100 endpoints total and noticed a website bug or feature regression:

The newly upgraded PSB portal appears to work errenously. When I click on the name-weblink of a malware incident computer in the Reports / Infections list (to see the exact OS version and F-Secure PSB version information details), then the display automatically jumps back to the PSB portal SoP main page.

Please check if this is a bug and provide a fix if necessary.

    Thanks in advance, Yours Sincerely:
Tamas Feher, 2F 2000 Kft., Budapest, Hungary.

    Hi,

new release is being rolled out to production with following new features:

    • F-Secure Endpoint Proxy support for PSB: If a customer has a slow connection, the F-Secure Endpoint Proxy will significantly reduce the data transfer by caching the malware database updates. These customers should consider deploying a proxy before migrating to Computer Protection as it will reduce the load on the network. Note: In future, this proxy will be extended to also support Software updates
    • Application Control (Premium): Support for monitored applications. An Application rule can now be set to allow and monitor. That is a great enhancement for admins who want to add a new rule in a live environment as it allows them to verify the impact of the rule, before deciding to block certain events. In addition, the application control rules can now be re-prioritized.
    • Scheduled reporting: PSB portal can now distribute summary reports weekly or monthly. That feature is important for partners who want to keep their customers aware of the effectiveness of F-Secure Security
    • Subscription reports: New export to CSV action added in partner subscriptions view: It is now possible for partners to get a report about all the subscriptions.
    • Infection email format has been changed so that you can analyse the more easily programmically. All fields are now separated by '|' (pipe) character.
    • Possible fix for the problem where some devices show "Overall protection and Firewall" columns empty in device tab and computer details view.

    Hi,

a new release is being rolled out to production with following changes:

    • A report of the last device scan is accessible in the device details page.
    • Active Directory information in Device details view: Active Directory name, Organizational unit, Domain Components and GUID are visible in device details view.
    • Browsing protection improvement:
      • Enforce SafeSearch mode:  Activate search result filter, i.e. make search engines use the SafeSearch strict level to hide adult content. In practice, it avoids that school kids see dubious site in search results from Google, Bing and Yahoo (big in Japan).
      • "Block Suspicious Sites" and "Block Prohibited Sites" are now manageable in Computer Protection profiles editor. "Block Prohibited Sites" blocks access to sites that contain suspicious content (for example the site may be a fake or known spam site). "Block Suspicious Sites" blocks access to sites that contain infringing or prohibited content (for example, the site contains illegal content).
    • Fixed inability to remove a computer for which the first removal failed for some reason.
    • Fixed the user settings editing to work correct in case email address was duplicate during the user migration to shared authentication service.
    • Computer Protection profile migration raises firewall conflict in case there are allow and block rules with icmp protols and intersecting icmp ports.

    Hi,

a new release is already rolled out to EMEA area portals and it will be very soon deployed to other portals too. This release 821 contains following change:

    • Refreshed view of the remote action panel, so that more actions can fit to it in the future.

In few days we will upgrade it to 822 version with one important change needed for the shared F-Secure authentication service introductions: being able to solve the user conflicts for those users who cannot login anymore after switching to the shared F-Secure authentication service. There is lot more information on this posted at https://community.f-secure.com/t5/Protection/PSB-Portal-user-migration-to/m-p/108739/highlight/true#M1106

Main thing is that if any of your users have problems, you will be shown on home page a "red box" with text "Due to our new user name requirements, some administrator accounts will soon stop working. Click here to view the affected accounts.". And it will then guide on how to fix these users.
