    Hi,

a following fix has been deployed to all EMEA portals already and will be deployed to Apac and Amer portals during today:

You cannot assign Server Protection profile for a server that has domain controller role. Profile actually gets delivered to device, but portal UI will never change out of the pending state and it shows the previous profile.

    Hi,

we noticed after release that some customers actually cannot migrate the profiles, as the profile is already migrated to Computer Protection profiles. And if you enable channel upgrade in this scenario, it actually assigns also this wrong profile into use.

Only way to get it working correctly in this situation is to delete first the profile from Computer Protection profiles, migrated it then to Server Protection profile and run channel upgrade after this.

We are working on a proper fix, but most likely it will go till weekend.

We are sorry for this problem,

    Hello,

We are bringing today a new release with the following features and fixes to all portals in AMER, APAC and EMEA regions.

    • F-Secure Proxy for Software updates: it can now be set through the Software updates section in both Computer Protection for Windows and Server Protection profiles. Please note that the upcoming version of F-Secure Endpoint Proxy (14.21+) should be used and it will work for clients which version is 19.5 or greater
    • REST API: Partners accounts can be searched by external reference. Also, subscriptions can be searched by using account's external reference. The external reference value can only be set via the new provisioning API.
    • Last logged in user on client is not more overridden in portal UI if user is logged out from the Windows session

    Hi,

a new release is being rolled out to all portals with following changes:

    New features

    • On device details page you can now display device infections from selected time range.
    • Display executed quarantine action with device infections.

    Improvements

    • Real-time validation of username/email uniquness uses all 3 authentication service regions (EMEA/APAC/AMER).
    • It is possible to change the subscription key on a device to Trial type subscription. This improvement is done to allow existing customers more easily to trial and pilot the new RDR products. So now F-Secure can deliver say 5 seat Computer Protection & RDR one month Trial subscription to existing company and then the company administrator can just select 5 devices to the trial and switch them to use the Computer Protection & RDR subcription instead of needing to do uninstallation and new installation with new keys.

    Hi,

a new release will be deployed during today to all production portals mainly to fix this issue:

    • If you first selected a filter from company home page and then clicked Select All in Devices list, it ended up selecting all devices from that company instead of only the filtered ones.

    Other improvements in the release

    • Clarified some DataGuard profiles settings.

    Hi,

a new release has been rolled out to all EMEA portals and will be rolled out to rest of portals during tomorrow. Main reason for this release is to fix the portal hangs on EMEA/PSB1, that caused login outages last week. Other fixes included are:

    • Users can again set phone number from edit user details page.
    • Add new Web Content Type Filtering categories under Browsing Protection.
    • Connection control "Do not interrupt active internet connections" option is now visible when copying settings to several profiles on the review page.

    Hi,

a new release will be rolled out to all portals in next few days with plenty of features and fixes.

    New features

    • Improved device control feature:
      • Every connected device is enriched with additional data: compatible IDs, hardware IDs, device class, device class description.
      • The "Connected devices" tab got a real time filter for the connected devices.
      • Device control profile settings got a new feature to filter unneeded devices from the status upstream (hence, filtered out devices will not be shown in the list of connected devices).
    • Added new toggle to general profile settings: prefer proxy connection over the direct connection. This feature will require new Computer/Server Protection 19.10 or 20.1 release to work with.
    • It is now possible to export and import tables in Computer, Mac and Server Protection profile editors. This feature is still only in English and will be localized in later releases. There is a separate post with video of this feature here .import-export.png

    Improvements

    • Issue title on company dashboard is now clickable and redirects to device page with those devices filtered. Earlier you had to click the number on the right side.

    Fixed issues

    • Spam filtering did not get activated for newly created profiles. It worked just fine with profiles made earlier.
    • Cannot save changes to profiles if Firewall automatic rules has second parameter empty.

    • Start scan time in scheduled scan can't be configured with hour and minutes.

    • Cannot save profile after adding Allowed Site to Web site exceptions.
    • If a computer was moved to another company, infections sent by the computer are not showing in the new company.
    • Infections list on device details page was showing all infections by default instead of the limiting to date range indicated by date pickers.

    Hi,

a new release was rolled out with the following features:

    - Informative notification in home page if computers using Workstation Security (end of life: March 2019) are still registered. It informs that by January 29,2020, we will:

    • Block installation of new Workstation Security
    • Remove existing Workstation Security that have not connected for two weeks.

    - Unify content disabling based on master switch in profile editor: When the master switch in the different profile section is disable, the relevant settings are automatically greyed as they are not applicable.

    - Create CSV report for selected devices: Currently, it is possible to export a CSV file containing all computers. This change will allow to export only the computers that are selected in device list view providing a much smaller CSV. A typical use case is to restrict the use to one product type and/or use filter, select all (if less than 1000 computers), and then click on export selected computers report (CSV). Note that is doesn't work yet with search as the "Clear Search" button hide the menu.

    - Able to copy profile from one company to another company as SOP/SEP users (supports now only for Computer Protection -tab, will be later added to Computer Protection for Mac and Server Protection profiles)

    - Sorting by operating system in device view now considers version number as well

As usual, the release also fixed some outstanding bugs:

    - Change subscription feature does not work on channel upgraded PSB Server Protection clients

    - All option is greyed out and can't be configure when Browsing Protection is disabled

    Hi,

we are now enabling a new feature that allows you to assign different default profiles based on a devices Active Directory organization path. So what does this feature do:

    1. It supports currently Computer Protection and Server Protection installations.
    2. When you install a new Computer or Server Protection client, you can assign a profile based on Active Directory organization path instead of the company default profile.

As this is the very first release for new service, it still has the following limitations that we are going to address in the coming months:

    • Active Directory organization tree is built based on our software seeing AD paths reported by existing Computer or Server Protection devices. This means you cannot create rules for totally new deployments that don't have clients installed and reporting the AD paths. As very next step we are adding a feature to manually list your AD organization and then import it to PSB portal to be used.
    • If your device changes location in your AD organization tree, we currently do not automatically update the assigned profile.

We are already working on a feature that will allow you to make a computer follow changes to its AD path and use that for figuring out its current profile. This can be configured to be enabled on a per company basis.

This new service also changes the process for how profiles are assigned to devices: instead of the assignment happening when a device registers to the system, it now happens when a device first starts sending upstream data to the backend. This allows us to add much more complex logic in the future for determining which profile will be assigned to the device.

The upcoming Computer / Server Protection 20.1 release will also bring a new way of assigning profiles to new installations. You will be able to give the profile id as a command line parameter to the installer when starting the client installation and the device will use the given profile instead of using the company default.

We will also soon roll out the frequently requested ability of filtering devices based on the profile that is assigned to them.

I've attached a couple of pictures that show what the feature looks like in the portal.

    Br,
      PSB Team.

    Hi,

a new release has been rolled out with the following changes:

    New features

    • An ability to hide the proxy configuration panel in the local user settings interface.
    • As a SOP or SEP level user, you can now copy Computer/Mac/Server Protection profiles from one company to another company.
    • Default profile assignment service is enabled for all customers at the same time when this release happened. Details for it in public community change log.

    Improvements

    • Rapid Detection & Response status in device listing / details view now shows risk of most significant detection (it can be 'Medium Risk' / 'High Risk' / 'Severe Risk'), when incident has been detected for the computer. Before it was single 'Targeted Attack Detected' status for incidents of all risks.
    • Display the number of subscriptions getting expired within 60 days in a box highlighted with light grey instead of yellow color.
    • Simplify administrator creation wizard by removing phone number field.
    • Freedome for business installation download link expiration time increased from 3 days to 7 days.

    Fixed issues

    • Fixed sorting devices listing in the computer information category.
    • Password Protection view is removed from navigation bar, if company doesn't have Password Protection subscription.

    Hi,

starting today, we are going to block all new installations of Workstation Security 12.01 and older version. This version had end of life in March 2019.

At the same time we start deleting all "offline" Workstation Security devices from the portal automatically. Only way to upgrade these to working state is to manually upgrade them to Computer Protection by running the Computer Protection installer on the device.

For more details see this full article of the changes and instructions.

    Hi,

a new release is being rolled out to all portals. Main focus of the release is to deploy some background upstream prosessing performance improvements for the EMEA/PSB1 portal. But in addition to those this release brings out:

    New features:

    • An existing OneId user can be used as new PSB administrator. It allows a user that has been first created in Partner Portal or RDS to get access rights to PSB, and to use SSO accross portals. Note that the user can still access only one organization in PSB.

    Improvements:

    • Simplify administrator creation dialog by removing username field and instead using email only.
      • Using email as username is now obligatory during admin signup (on UI level, still can be overridden with API calls)
      • Administrators are not allowed to change details / reset passwords of other admins in the organization

    Fixed issues:

    • When "Select All" checkbox is checked then all devices (up to 1000) matching the filter can be exported to CSV file using "export select computer report (CSV)"

    Hi,

a new release is being rolled out to all portals during Monday as there was annoying bug in reporting the profile assignment state for all new Server Protection installations. Release contains also plenty of new features and other improvements.

    New features:

    • Added 3 new ways to filter devices based on Computer Protection, Computer Protection for Mac and Server Protection profiles. Profile listing page also has a direct link to these computers from the  "Assigned computers" number.

    Improvements:

    • Added 4 new filters in profiles listing and profile assignments to: 1) Show all profiles, 2) Show only active profiles, 3) Show only company profiles and 4) Show only active company profiles
    • Improving performance for CSV export all computer reports. Also, Incoming e-mail scanning and Outgoing e-mail scanning fields are removed from report.
    • Display PSB portal login page with no error message when the user clicks the browser back button after getting logged into the portal.
    • User can export to CSV file all devices, that are found with search query and search filters, using button "Export found computers report (CSV)" in Action Menu.

    Fixed issues:

    • Assigned profile state is not updated in portal after installation for some Server Protection installations. This can also happen in very rare cases for Computer Protection. Devices actually get the correct default profile, but the reporting to portal doesn't work correctly.
    • Fix issue on displaying dialog for configuring default profiles and copy profiles in IE11.
    • Fix PSB alert email is missing infection type localization.
