    Hi

    I'm currently updating the server manually so that it doesn't get damaged, but I have an error when I ran one update via WithSecure:

    "The update could not be installed because the installer returned an unknown error. (WA_VMOD_ERROR_INSTALLATION_FAILED)"

    2022-08 Security Update for Windows Server 2012 for x64-based Systems (KB5012170)

    Please ensure that you are using the most recent version of the WithSecure product. Regarding the specific update KB5012170, the root cause remains unclear as we have been unable to reproduce the issue internally thus far. It can be challenging to determine the precise root causes of the error without examining the fsdiag logs.

    To further investigate, it would be greatly appreciated if you could enable debug logging, reproduce the issue, and then share the fresh fsdiag logs with our WithSecure support team. This will allow us to delve deeper into the matter and provide you with a more accurate solution.

    I managed it, sometimes some installation errors pop up, I don't worry about it anymore, if not remotely then manually and that's it.
