Updates distributed by Elements Connector

I have a question about how the Connector works.

For example, if I install and configure the Elements Connector on a Linux PC and then use it in all profiles for Windows and Linux, will the Connector work for updating definitions on both operating systems, or will it only be effective for Linux?

If I want to update Windows applications, should I configure the Connector on a Windows PC?

Yes, the WithSecure Elements Connector works across platforms — a Linux-based Connector can serve both Linux and Windows clients for definition updates, as long as they can reach it over the network.

However, if you're using Software Updater to deploy Windows application updates, it's best to run the Connector on a Windows PC, since some Windows updates may not cache properly on Linux.
