How to release network isolation mode in a VPN environment?
Hi,
We have a secure network with limited internet access and it is accessed only by VPN or RDP.
The VPN causes a catch 22 situation when the network isolation mode is in effect.
You cannot initiate the VPN session as the network is isolated/unavailable and thus you never get the release network isolation message.
I have tried booting the laptop in fail-safe mode with network support but the network is still not available.
Is there any way to manually enable network support or do I have to e.g. uninstall the WithSecure client and re-install it with the VPN on, or will even that release the network?

Hi @Toma ,
Network isolation includes built-in rules that allow connections to our servers to send the command for releasing a computer from isolation. However, if VPN is enabled, network isolation is unaware of the VPN, preventing the computer from connecting to our servers through the VPN. As a result, the release-from-isolation command cannot be received.
Disabling the VPN should resolve the issue.
Alternatively, adding a rule to the network isolation profile to allow VPN connections would likely fix the problem as well. However, this rule needs to be configured in advance.
If issue persists, please submit a WithSecure support case here , as we have a json file to share - https://www.withsecure.com/en/support/contact-support/email-support
