Restrictions with double-byte character use Symptoms
If double-byte characters are used in the server addresses, the communication with the server will not function properly.
Diagnosis
When defining a connection to a server, only DNS valid names can be used. If double-byte characters are used in the server addresses, the communication with the server will not function properly.
Policy Manager cannot be installed in directories where the path contains double-byte characters. This includes national characters in non-iso-latin character schemes like the Japanese and Chinese versions of the supported platforms.
Solution
The default path should, however, be chosen whenever possible, and that will always succeed.
