Resolution:
You can follow the steps below to import or export JSON file in the Elements Endpoint Protection portal for Browsing Protection configuration:
- Login to Elements Endpoint Protection Portal
- Go to Profiles
- Select the used profile
- Open Browsing Protection
- Scroll down to Web Sites Exceptions (Ensure it is enabled)
- The following steps are applicable for both Allowed sites and Denied sites
- Select , and then select one of the following options:
- Export to file (JSON)
- Import from file (JSON)
- Replace from file (JSON)
Note: If you would like to know the required JSON syntax if there is a need to create and upload JSON file for the mass setup of websites, we recommend to manually add one or two sites to the list in Elements Endpoint Protection Portal, and then to export the file as JSON.
The syntax can be viewed from the exported JSON file and edited with own set of websites before importing it back to Elements Endpoint Protection Portal. The JSON file for "allowed sites" should be created separately from "denied sites" and uploaded according to the category.
