Elements Connector error "Connection to the update server has failed for address https://guts2.sp.f-secure.com"

Issue:

When an Elements Connector's details are viewed in the Elements Security Center portal, the Status page shows the following error notification:

Connection to the update server(s) has failed: https://guts2.sp.f-secure.com

Resolution:

This error notification is to be expected. The https://guts2.sp.f-secure.com address listed in the error is the address for the old update server which was taken out of use early 2025. The Elements Connector automatically connects to both the old and the new update servers to download the updates:

https://guts2.fsapi.com (new)
https://guts2.sp.f-secure.com (old)

The error is harmless since the Elements Connector will still be able to download the latest virus definition updates from the new update server and serve them to the Elements Agent devices.
