Issue:
How to enable automatic installation of Software Updater security updates in the Elements Endpoint Protection Portal for EPP for Computers or EPP for Servers?
Resolution:
- Log in to the Elements Endpoint Protection Portal
- Go to the Profiles page
- Select the profile you want to edit
- Go to the Software updater settings page
- Make sure the Software updater feature is enabled
- Go to the Automated tasks settings page
- Enable Automated tasks
- Click Add task
- Select one of the following from the Type drop-down menu:
- Install critical security updates
- Install critical and important security updates
- Install all security updates
- Install all updates
- Select the installation time from the Schedule (click question mark for CRON expressions help guide)
- Click Save and Publish
Note: This setting only applies to security updates. Windows feature updates cannot be installed automatically.
