Issue:
After installation of Elements Agent on a computer, Elements EPP for Computers or EPP for Servers host device is not listed on the "Devices" page in the Elements Endpoint Protection portal. Why is the device not found on the "Devices" page?
Resolution:
Follow this checklist to check that all is OK:
- Verify that host is able to communicate to backend servers. You can run the WithSecure Connectivity Tool (wsconnectionchecker.exe) from C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\PSB\ui on the device, to validate the connectivity state to WithSecure backend.
- Confirm that you are using the correct Elements Endpoint Protection subscription key during installation
- If you have installed the Elements Endpoint Protection product on a clone image and are using the same clone image on several devices, it can be that several devices have the same Unique ID (UID). If the devices have identical Unique ID's, only one will be visible in the Elements Portal at a time. You can view the Unique ID from the product's Settings > Central Management page. If two or more devices have the same UID, use the logout tool to reinitialize the product. This will create a new random UID to the device where you run the tool. For deployment using clone image, check this help guide.
- For installation in persistent mode on VDI systems, in case you have installed the Elements Endpoint Protection product to use SMBIOS GUID as the unique ID, following the steps documented in the help guide.
As a last resort, try uninstalling the product using the uninstallation tool. Then reinstall the product: https://download.withsecure.com/uninstallationtool/WsUninstallationTool.exe
