Installing F-Secure Elements EPP for Servers fails or the installation does not show up in the F-Secure Elements EPP portal if the root certificates are not up to date Symptoms
The installation of F-Secure Elements EPP for Servers fails or does not show up in the F-Secure Elements EPP portal if the root certificates are not up to date.
Diagnosis
Installation failure can happen if you have enabled the Turn off Automatic Root Certificate Update Group Policy, which means that the latest root certificates are not available. Enabling the Turn off Automatic Root Certificate feature means that this feature prevents Windows from automatically downloading the needed new root certificates.
Solution
This issue can be fixed by enabling the automatic root certificate updates via Group Policy:
- Set Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Internet Communication Management/Internet Communication settings/Turn off Automatic Root Certificate Update to Not Configured or Disabled.
