Do WithSecure endpoint products scan emails for infections or viruses?

Resolution:
You can configure profile to scan some of supported mailbox files during manual and scheduled scanning (Using "Scan inside mailbox files" option in Manual Scanning tab). If this setting is enabled, client scans mailbox files and reports issues found inside. But client does not clean issues in mailboxes automatically to avoid deleting or malformatting important files.
How to enable for Elements Endpoint Protection products:
- Log in to the Elements Endpoint Protection portal
- Go to the Profiles page
- Open the profile you want to edit
- Go to the Manual scanning settings page
- Enable Scan inside mailbox files (PST. OST,...)
- Click Save and publish
