How to create Xfence Exclusions/Rules?

Hello, I hope you are doing well, as far as I can see Xfence is the equivalent to Dataguard in MacOS, but how can we create rules or exclusions to tune it to specific needs? I do not see any related fields in the Profile?

The steps I have listed earlier for creating a custom rule in XFENCE must be performed directly on the local Mac machine, not via the WithSecure Elements portal.

You can access the tools that you can use to protect your computer via the Malware Protection, Secure Browsing , and XFENCE tabs.

If you're looking to exclude a specific application in XFENCE, you can do that by creating a custom rule. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide:

Click the XFENCE icon in your menu bar
Choose "Preferences..." from the dropdown
Go to the "XFENCE" tab
Click "Advanced..." to open the rule editor
Unlock the editor by clicking the padlock icon in the lower-left corner
Click "New Policy Rule"
Enter the path to the application (you can also choose “Any path” if you want it to be more general), then hit "Save"
Close the rule editor — your changes will take effect immediately

This will create a new allow rule for that app and prevent XFENCE from blocking its activity. Hope this helps!

Hello @Sethu Laks , thank you for your answer, are these steps you mentioned done from the Elements portal or directly from the device? Because I do not see any Xfence Icon…
