Issue:
How to enable or disable multi-factor authentication for a WithSecure Business Account?
Resolution:
To enable multi-factor authentication:
- Go to https://elements.withsecure.com
- Log in with your Email address (or username) and password
- Click on the user icon (top-right corner)
- Select My Settings
- Click Enable from the right side of the Multi-Factor Authentication disabled notification
- Click Add to select which type of multi-factor authentication you want to use (multiple can be added)
- Follow the on-screen instructions
We recommend to enable multiple multi-factor authentication options as a backup. If your only multi-factor authentication option is lost, there is no way to reset the multi-factor authentication. If all multi-factor authentication options are lost, the account would need to be re-created.
We are planning to enforce multi-factor authentication in the near future. This means that everyone will be enforced to setup multi-factor authentication if they have not already done so. More information about this will follow.
To disable multi-factor authentication:
- Go to https://elements.withsecure.com
- Log in with your Email address (or username) and password
- Enter your multi-factor authentication code and click Continue
- Click on the user icon (top-right corner)
- Select My Settings
- Click Change from the right side of the Multi-Factor Authentication enabled notification
- Click Remove on the right side of all the multi-factor authentication methods you want to disable
- Enter your email address and password
