Initial release of the WithSecure Elements Agent for Windows
The WithSecure™ Elements Agent for Windows has now been released to the Early Access group. It will be released to production starting on 2022-05-09, with all clients expected to be updated by the end of May.
The client has been rebranded and uses WithSecure™ logos, graphics, and product names.
Notes:
- If you detect an installed product in scripts these will need changing to detect the product using the name WithSecure™ Elements Agent.
- During the upgrade to this new version, the Microsoft Windows Security Center will give a warning that the computer is not protected. This is due to the product name change, and will only appear during this particular upgrades as the product registers itself to Windows with the new name.
- There are still several places where the F-Secure name is still used. These will be removed in upcoming releases.
- Digital Certificates
- Windows Security Center
For customers wanting to get early preview of changes, we recommend they use the Elements EPP Early Access option, which can be set in the Elements EPP profile under General Settings.
