Issue:
Ultralight Core 2022-04-05_01 update causes Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crash on Windows devices.
Resolution:
A newer Ultralight Core update, 2022-04-05_02 has been released to the channel, to avoid BSOD from happening
In case the device crashes with BSOD without the WithSecure product being able to download the latest Ultralight Core update, you need to do the following:
- Boot into safe mode
- Rename fsulgk.sys in the directory:
- Business Suites product: ...\F-Secure\<Client Security, Server Security>\Ultralight\ulcore\1649156793
- Elements Endpoint Protection product: ...\F-Secure\PSB\Ultralight\ulcore\1649156793
- Reboot the device normally and let the product update the components. New driver will be registered and enabled by the update.
Alternatively, removing the product in safe mode would help to avoid the BSOD. After reinstallation the device would no longer BSOD with the latest Ultralight Core 2022-04-05_02 update.
