Issue:
The Software Updater feature in Elements Endpoint Protection and Business Suite Client Security detects several updates as missing even if they have already been installed. After each installation attempt the product shows a restart or reboot request.
Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are among the affected updates.
Elements agent keeps on trying to install Microsoft KB5026372 and fails everytime.
Resolution:
We have released a fix to the channel as per the following:
* Client Security/Server Security: F-Secure Software Updater Engine 2023-07-11_01
* Elements EPP for Computers/Servers: hotfix 70
The products should download and install the fix automatically.
For Client/Server Security, you can look into the update history via the product settings window > Updates on the client, while for Elements EPP for Computers/Servers, you shall look into the hotfix ID under the device status in the Elements EPP Portal.
NOTE: You might need to add the column named "Hotfix ID" under the device status and ensure that the hotfix ID is 70.
Other than this, we have released additional fix to the channel as F-Secure Software Updater Database 2023-08-09_01. This fix shall address the same issue spotted in the software update for Microsoft Visual Studio Code.
