Disclaimers not always added to e-mail messages This article describes the circumstances under which disclaimers may not be added to outgoing e-mails.
If F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has been configured to add a disclaimer to the outbound e-mails, typically all the e-mails will have this disclaimer appended to the bottom of the e-mail before they are sent out from the Microsoft Exchange Server.
Disclaimers are not added to the e-mail messages under the following circumstances:
- If, for any reason, the e-mail was quarantined by F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange and the administrator decides to release it from the quarantine, the disclaimer will not be added to it.
- On Microsoft Exchange 2007, a disclaimer will not be added to an empty TNEF-coded e-mail which has no body nor attachments.
- If the e-mail sender or recipient is in the Trusted Senders or Trusted Recipients lists, a disclaimer will not be added.
