<p> </p>Using a product-specific method for submitting samples to F-Secure <p>Some F-Secure corporate products and <a rel="nofollow" href="https://help.f-secure.com/product.html#home/safe-windows/latest/en/task_065A3073F792463893C1B6A8DCD6BAE0-safe-windows-latest-en">F-Secure SAFE</a> include their own sample reporting capabilities. Please check the product and its methods for submitting samples before sending files through the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.f-secure.com/en/business/support-and-downloads/submit-a-sample">Submit a Sample</a> page. </p> <p><strong>F-Secure products with sample reporting capabilities</strong> </p> <p>If your F-Secure product includes a button or other functionality to report a sample through its user interface, use that option instead of submitting the sample through the general sample submitting page. </p> <p>Using the reporting feature in your product ensures that your sample will be processed by the appropriate team in the most efficient way. </p> <div> <ul><li> </li> </ul></div> <p><strong>F-Secure products with spam filtering capabilities</strong> </p> <p>The best and most efficient way to help us improve our anti-spam capabilities is to follow the reporting method specific for your product. </p> <div>If you run an email server or gateway product and intend to submit email samples with <code class="code codeInline" spellcheck="false" tabindex="0">.msg</code> or <code class="code codeInline" spellcheck="false" tabindex="0">.eml</code> file extensions, report the email samples as described in the following articles: <ul><li> </li> <li> </li> </ul></div> <p><strong>Note:</strong> </p><p>Large collections of older malware samples and bulk submissions submitted using the <em>Submit a Sample</em> page may be handled with lower priority than newer threats. </p> <div>A submitter of samples is considered a bulk submitter if the following criteria are met: <ul><li>over a period of 3 months, the submitter has sent us more than ten low-quality reports, probably in an automated fashion </li> <li>the samples are of low value and have been already detected earlier or are no longer prevalent </li> <li>the submitter has consistently selected a wrong sample category in the <em>Submit a Sample</em> form </li> <li>the description of the issue is incomplete. </li> </ul></div> <p>If you are identified as a bulk submitter, we will get in touch with you to understand your use case better and to discuss alternative methods for sharing your samples. </p> <p>Bulk submitters whose inbox is not monitored or don't provide any feedback may be switched over to automated processing at F-Secure's discretion. </p> <div id="related"> <strong>Related information</strong> <ul><li><a rel="nofollow" href="https://community.f-secure.com/common-home-en/kb/articles/5436-how-can-i-submit-samples-to-f-secure">How can I submit samples to F-Secure? </a></li></ul></div> <br>
