Email addresses with a plus sign in the F-Secure Elements Endpoint Protection portal Some email addresses in Accounts > Administrators may have a plus sign in the email address, but nevertheless are linked to the same account. This is due to the current authentication backend that requires a unique email address.
Plus signs were added to some email addresses during the migration from the previous authentication system to the current system. This was done to ensure continuity: that email addresses are considered unique in our authentication system and that emails are received normally.
Note: Our email gateway removes the "+" part of the email address before sending any email. Nothing is affected as long as you log in with your username.
To ensure that you can log in to the F-Secure Elements EPP portal, remember the following:
- Always use your username when logging in or when using the "Forgot my password" option.
- If you are logging in with your email address, the email address needs to be identical in the new system. In other words, it should include the "+" part, if this is present in the email.
In most cases, we recommend using only one email address for accessing the F-Secure portals. However, in some cases, creating alias email addresses may be needed; for example, if there is a need to separate service access.
