Background
With the introduction of the unified navigation menu for F-Secure Elements, it is possible for the administrator to navigate between the various parts of the Elements solution easily.
Unified navigation brings collapsible submenus for Endpoint Protection, Endpoint Detection and Response, Vulnerability Management, Protection for Microsoft 365, together with a submenu for managing the Microsoft 365. These submenus are in the left-hand panel of the management interface, and will be familiar to those administrators who have used our cloud-based solutions before.
Because not all customers will have subscriptions for all of the above, the unified navigation menu will only display the submenus for the components that the customer has licensed. For example, if the customer has subscriptions for Elements Endpoint Protection and Elements Endpoint Detection and Response, the submenus for Vulnerability Management and Protection for Microsoft 365 will not be shown.
For partners, if any of their client customers have a subscription for a product, they will see those products in the menu.
As there is one menu allowing control of all licensed products, it is possible for the administrator to jump between products easily, and navigate directly to where they need to be.
As you can see from the following screenshots, it really is easy to move around F-Secure Elements using the new menu structure.
To see the menu in action, including some real use cases, we have created a short video
Known Limitations
The new unified navigation menu does not change how feature specific scoping is managed for partners. Within each high level menu item e.g. Endpoint Protection, the partner users scope is independently managed. If the partner users scope changes when moving between unified navigation menu items, it is highlighted for the user.
